Opioid Overdose Prevention Program (OOPP)
Wayne County Public Health (WCPH) is a registered Opioid Overdose Prevention Program (OOPP) with New York State. Through this program WCPH is able to train others on how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose, and distribute Narcan (naloxone nasal spray) for free.
Naloxone Boxes: Wayne County public Health will be partnering with organizations throughout the county to house Narcan Red Boxes that will contain free Narcan kits for members of the public to take in the event of an overdose. If you would like to know where a Naloxone Box is near you, or are interested in housing one in your organization, please call (315)946-5749 or email wcph@waynecountyny.gov
